Achieve a Balanced, Refined Look
What is a Labiaplasty?
A labiaplasty is a surgical procedure designed to reshape or reduce the size of the labia minora (inner vaginal lips) as well as adjacent structures such as the clitoral hood and, in some cases, even the labia majora. This procedure can address physical discomfort, aesthetics, trauma from birth, or other concerns. Women often seek labiaplasty to alleviate discomfort during activities such as exercise or intimacy, correct asymmetry, or achieve a more balanced appearance.
The surgery typically involves removing excess tissue and reshaping the labia to enhance comfort and appearance. It’s usually performed on an outpatient basis using local anesthesia as well as sedation or general anesthesia. Recovery times vary, but many women can return to normal activities within 1-2 weeks while following post-operative care instructions for optimal healing. If you have had a baby, the recovery from labiaplasty is often very similar to the recovery after a vaginal birth.
